On May 16 I will be giving lecture at Portsmouth Historical Society, Portsmouth, NH where I will presenting highlights of my research on Folk Artists working in 19th-century NH.
From December 12 until May 31, 2020, Bowdoin College Museum of Art in Maine will be hosting an exciting new exhibit “Rufus Porter’s Curious World: Art and Invention in America, 1815-1860.” The show will be accompanied by an illustrated catalog published by the University of Pennsylvania Press which includes an essay by me on Porter’s miniatures. Mark your calendars as this is an exhibit one will not want to miss.
